i ordered a shirt from coco de coeur 2 weeks BEFORE CHRISTMAS. i've emailed her company multiple times but still no response. i've gone on her formspring, STILL NO RESPONSE, the fact that she got the money for what i bought and never sent me the item is really pissing me off.
In one of her recent posts on her blog called 'Vice Magazine GIF Shoot' she literally says: "Vice magazine recently did a photo shoot with the intention of turing it into GIFS. I love this idea, totally staling it for a shoot in near future. SICK."
vice mag is far from the first to do this so whatever, i’m not gonna hate on her for choosing to use a medium that’s basically already tired
Hi, I find this blog very intersting! I was just wondering who Audrey stole her images and ideas from? I looked all over this page, but I couldn't find any names (only the one girl with the Cat Flag shirt). You should find out who made the orginal images and then put their names here because they deserve to be credited. There was one story on this page where, I think, somebody sent Audrey a design for a shirt or whatever and she never credited him. You should put his name/website here! xoxo
Actually I’ve included the names of many designers whose ideas have been “adopted” by Audrey.
I've found this blog to be productively informative and backed up with good examples. It seemed like I was the only one who could spot the craftily ripped off fashion sense and 'creativity' Audrey seems to express on her numerous blogs and I hope this blog spreads damn good awareness of her lacking majorly in the above statements because after all it is one thing to piggy back off the work of others' and GIVE CREDIT but its a whole different level of shitty to just completely rip it off!
I wouldn't call this a hate blog, a hate blog is when you post shit about someone with absolutely no excuse other than that you don't like them. You aren't doing that. You have a legitimate reason to post shit about her, she's a scammer and a thief. Seriously, I was thinking about ordering some stuff but then I found this tumblr and I'm SO glad I didn't.
you're quite pathetic if you have nothing better to do than make a hate blog about someone. you honestly have issues, and i feel sorry for you, but you don't need to take it out on someone else. seriously, you should try doing something constructive with your time. get a hobby, make art, play a sport, whatever you're into. but really theres no need to do this, its really a crazy waste.
Scamming apologists like you always seem to assume we have no direction in life…
I was emailed by Audrey saying i won a contest from her. it has now been over 3 months and i haven't received the jewelry that i won. It's aggravating because she made it seem like i would get it ASAP. and i never received the merchandise from her.
Yikes that’s awful. Was this a public contest on her Buzznet or anything?
oh my god on formspring, I was telling her my opinion on her new Tokyolux Line "Velvet Glam" and she bitched me out. I said too, how I looked up to her and admired her and shit. Whatever. Half of it was stolen from Wildfox.
The exact same thing happened to me when ordering from tokyolux. I had sent four emails over the course of two weeks to multiple email addresses and got nothing back, when my it had turned into a month of my item not arriving. I opened a paypal dispute and soon after my items arrived. What was crazy to me, is that she shipped from California to California. There is no way in hell it should have taken 2 months for my item to arrive. buyer beware
Hi, I said a while ago that I had ordered and not gotten anything after a month... after opening a dispute my items arrived a few days later, albeit from California when I thought she'd be shipping out of New York. Her 'free gift' for lateness was a sticker. Really beat-up envelope, no paperwork or information inside, just heart-shaped glitter. Shirt is fairly nice but I'd never order from her again after the fiasco.
This is to the person who said they reported her to the BBB... the BBB doesn't have any power. It's just a watchdog group, it can't do anything. It's the same thing as posting a review on yelp or another website.
My brother and I recently came upon your blog. I really hope she gets exposed as for what she truly is, an unoriginal thief. I believe my brother has e-mailed you on regards of this but she also stole his ideas and creations calling them her own, giving him no credit or rewards whatsoever, and when confronted about it, her response was "this is how the industry works". It angers me that she calls herself a "designer" when there are real talented people out there that she is taking away from.xoxo
Yeah I’ve seen her respond to complaints with “this is just the way it is” before and it sucks. She recognizes that the way she treats people is a problem but still perpetuates that behavior.
The other day Felicity aka punkrockmermaid posted a picture of my friend, and I asked her to credit it. She was great and let me know that Audrey Kitching had posted it originally, so I let Chloe know and she was really happy but obviously if there’s no credit there, it’s not good exposure for her.
She politely contacted Audrey and was ignored, then a few days later sent a slightly more to the point message to be met with a condescening ‘i have a life y’know, i can’t reply to anything” “Then what the hell are you talking about” and “send me the link and i’ll delete it”
Wow. Chloe puts a lot of effort into her career and is trying to make something of herself. It’s not much to ask to get credit on an image - fair enough she didn’t know where it came from originally but once someone tells you, you just do it…you don’t act like a total bitch about it.
Oh and now Audrey kitching fan girls are sending Chloe abusive tweets. Christ on a stick people are wankers. I can’t even handle it. I’m so sick of everyone being horrible.
Furthermore than that, I commented on the image saying ‘Since Audrey refuses to credit this or delete it, I’ll just leave the credits for this image here in a comment, for all the people who worked long and hard on this shoot.’ and left credits, and THE COMMENT HAS BEEN DELETED. Seriously, I’ve never encountered someone more hellbent on copyright infringement than Audrey Kitching. What the hell.
Contacted Audrey Kitching on twitter because she used one of my modeling photos in an ‘inspiration’ post. I was really nice, said that I’m an upcoming model and I’d really appreciate being credited. I got no response for a few days, even though she’d been on twitter every 2 hours or so in that…
Ordered a couple things from her site and it was a nightmare! After three months, I still didn't receive anything and I constantly had to email her about it. She (or whoever I emailed) kept coming up with excuses and telling me that they had to remade the shirt, etc. They finally got around to sending me what I paid for. Anyway, I reported her company to the Better Business Bureau and had talked to several people who went through the same problem of not receiving the things they paid for...
She had a design in which she had a "hand written" style "you hurt cats I hurt you". The design was the same basic style and concept of a shirt by the balletcats that released years earlier that said "you hurt cats I (image of a gun) you in the head".
oh god i love this blog so much. i used to love audrey kitching so much until i discovered how much of a BITCH she gets when anyone calls her out on ANYTHING. and now finding out that she steals is just grand :') thank you
She doesn’t even bother defending herself! She just acts rude to whoever calls her out.
I have also fallen victim to Audrey's amazing ability to take people's money and give them nothing in return (I placed an order through tokyolux). I reported her to the Better Business Bureau and other various websites that post reports of internet scams. Hopefully something good will come out of all of her crap.
GOOD!! Would you be willing to tell the story in detail?
I just opened a Paypal dispute as I never received any ideas from Tokyolux... wish I'd found your tumblr sooner, I had no idea that the items are never received. Really hoping I get my money back :( Anyway thanks for the heads' up on her typical modus operandi.
Oh no, I’m so sorry about what happened to you. I wish you would come forward and tell us your whole story in detail. We could use some information like yours! Would you be willing to go off anon, or at least tell us more about what happened between you and Tokyolux?
As much as I dislike Audrey, I feel like some of the things you claim she's "stealing" are reaching a bit.
I hope she/her fans see some of this stuff tho.
Good luck on the blog!
In reference to her Wildfox “inspiration,” I know some of her clothes don’t look exactly like the Wildfox versions. But I think how similar the subject matter of the designs are is definitely suspicious. The whole brand concept of Wildfox seems to be something Coco de Coeur is really interested in. I’m working on another post featuring the uncanny similarities in their video editorials.
Audrey’s most recent offense is this atrocity, which was sent to Hayley Williams, along with a few others:

If you’re familiar at all with Tumblr, then you’ve seen the numerous goofy and trendy variations of Black Flag’s iconic logo. Audrey’s design, however, was ripped straight from Etsy Seller SleazySeagull, who states on the item page:
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL CAT FLAG SHIRT. ALL OTHERS ARE COPIES.
She also says that the particular cat featured in the design belongs to her friend and is named Hugo, indicating that the design was not stolen. Some efagz members pointed out that this high quality image featuring the exact design printed on SleazySeagull’s shirts has been floating around the internet since April, but apparently SleazySeagull first posted her design in April.
Google “Cat Flag” and you’ll note that there have been many copies at DIY T-Shirt sites like RedBubble and Zazzle (half of which don’t even have the dignity to use their own art) sell for around SleazySeagull’s price of $23.99.
Audrey’s “version,” which hasn’t been officially released yet to the extent of my knowledge, is printed on a burnout t-shirt, which sells for an average of $15 wholesale. Judging by her usual (over)pricing of $35-$48, we can predict that… well, this shirt is going to be just another design she steals and makes money off of. Pretty hypocritical coming from a girl who calls Forever 21, “Forgery 21.”
